Environment Services

1. Consent Management-

Previous Consent of State Board is needed for new outlets and new discharges in the form of Consent to Establish or take any steps to establish any industry, operation or process, or any treatment and disposal system or an extension or addition thereto for likely to  discharge sewage  or trade effluent into stream or well  or sewer or on land  as well as air emissions generation, control & discharge and /with hazardous waste generation, collection, storage, transport, treatment &disposal in the pollution control area.

Whereas, Consent to Operate is required prior to the commissioning/operation of an industry, operation or process or any treatment and disposal system to whom Consent to Establish have been granted by State Pollution Control Board.

Both the consents-an application in the prescribed format of State Pollution Control Board is essential for which a preparation of document is needed as like project document with accompaniments along with consent fees based on the capital Investment of the project/activity as per prevailing  fees rates of State Pollution Control Board duly approved by Government of Maharashtra.

 

  • Consent to Establish (CTE) –

This consent is to be obtained prior to establishing any industry,operation or process,or any treatment and disposal system or an extension or addition thereto as-

Consent to Establish under Section 25 of the Water (Prevention &Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &under Section 21 of the Air (Prevention Control of Pollution)Act, 1981 and Authorization under Rule 5 of the Hazardous Waste(Management, Handling &Transboundary Movement) Rules,2008.

[To be referred as Water Act, Air Act and HW(M&H)Rules respectively]

  • Consent to Operate  (CTO) –

Once   any industry, operation or process,or any treatment and disposal system or an extension or addition thereto is established along the required pollution control systems, the entrepreneur is required to obtain  prior consent to operate  for the unit for production/activities as-

Consent to Operate under Section 26 of the Water (Prevention &Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &under Section 21 of the Air(Prevention Control of Pollution)Act, 1981 and Authorization under Rule 5 of the Hazardous &Other Waste(Management, &Transboundary Movement) Rules,2016.

[To be referred as Water Act, Air Act and H&OW (M&TM) Rules respectively]

  • Renewal of Consent –

Consent is given for a particular period, which needs to be renewed regularly for which an advance 60 days prior application has to be made to the competent authority duly complied as per the prevailing policy of the State Pollution Control Board.

  • Consent to Establish/Operate approval by State Pollution Control Board-further assistance to industry/institution for compliance and periodical lawful submissions of compliance report thereof as statutory requirement to the respective regulatory body.

 2.Techno-Legal Services

In the matter/s related to environment acts & its implication faced by industries/institutions. E-Tech has at length experience in this particular matter, we have tackled various RED industries cases and public hearings successfully.

Techno-Legal services are meant to be helping hand to the industries/intuitions all year round, if industry faces any environmental legal issues like Show cause notices, proposed directions, directions, etc , safety reports, updating, as the case may be- assistance in reply to regulatory body by industry/institution thereof etc. Further  to keep follow-up to happen as and when required in the matter/s.

3. Environment clearance service (EC)-

In this regard the specified industrial and infrastructure projects required to get  prior environmental clearance from the MoEF &CC, Government of India and State Environment Department  respectively as the case may be as per Environmental Impact Assessment Notification dtd.14/09/2006 as amended time to time and also hoisted  the same on the Websites of www.envfor.nic.in by MOEF&CC, http://ec.maharashtra.gov.in by ED-GOM & mpcb.gov.in  by MPCB accordingly..The industry specific details would be available for the information provided/updated on government website time to time.

E-Tech provides time bound services to clients for approach the competent authority for ensuring EC in time by the followings,

  • Preparation of Form I / Form I & IA.
  • Presentation, timely compliance of remarks, if any and securing TOR of the project concerned.

4. Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Study-

E-Tech has association with reputed firms in this regard which are accredited by QCI-NABET-A Category  for the carrying out EIA report for listed projects by government , we are providing the time bound services for EIA which is very much important by adopting the following the process  criteria as-

  • Carrying out Field Study
  • Preparation of Rapid / Comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Report.
  • Submission for TOR to the respective competent authority.
  • TOR (Terms of Reference) Approval
  • Baseline data collection
  • Preparation of EIA Report
  • Assistance for public hearing
  • Follow up with competent authority for submission of compiled repot to State/Central Government Environmental Impact Assessment Authority, as the case may be accordingly for further processing in the matter.
  • As per listing number and called for, presentation/s before SEAC &SEIAA.
  • Submission of reply to remarks, if any to the respective authority.
  • Issuance of Environmental Clearance by the competent authority.

5. Statuary Environment Audit / Statement preparation and submission

  • Preparation and submission of Form V to competent authority
  • Yearly/Half yearly returns under HE Rules in prescribed format for submission to competent authority

6. STP/ETP Technical services &operation and maintenance  thereof, in case needed–

It is  the requirement every industry having effluent generation  in case of trade effluent and if domestic sewage  generation  occurred  up to10.00 M3/day ,septic tank followed by soak pit/filter with such effluent overflow entire use on land for green development may serve the purpose, where as above 10.00 M3/Day generation of sewage ,a full fledge STP with zero discharge disposal is lawfully required/may found variable depends upon the environmental sensitivity of the particular location concerned /as the case may be accordingly.
